ANSWERS

  1. Which are the HMGS opening days and hours for the provision of geographical products?
    The HMGS Sales department is open for the public on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 08.00 to 12.30.

  2. How can I become a registered user of the HMGS e-shop?
    You can register via the "Register" procedure of the HMGS e-shop. The login procedure is required prior the order of any geographical product.

  3. What can I do if I forget my username or password?
    If you forget your username or password, click on the link “Have you forgotten your username or password?” on the “Connection” screen of the E-shop. You would be asked to provide your username or email address and the system administrator will send you by email the user name or password.

  4. How can I search and find maps that I am interested in?
    Through the Geo-Index service of the HMGS Portal the users can search the maps and the product codes they are interested in, their availability and costs.

  5. What type of maps can I order from the HMGS portal?
    All the products that are referred in the Products Pricelist can be ordered via the HMGS e-shop. Descriptions of the products can be found in the link Products of the HMGS portal.

  6. Which are the ways of payment for the map ordering?
    Money deposit at the cashier in the HMGS Sales Department at the Department’s opening hours or sending a postal order at the Kipseli postal office in Athens. For international orders, money deposit is required at a bank account in GENIKI Bank (Syntagma) provided to the client by HMGS through email.

  7. How can I cancel an order?
    The cancellation of an order can be done only in the case that the order has been registered and not further processing has been done (reservation). You can cancel a specific order through the e-shop application. Search for the specific order you want to cancel with the order number or other criteria. Clicking on the “Order Number” field, the “Order Details” windows appears where you can cancel your order clicking on the “Cancel” button. Please refer also to the “E-shop User Guide”.

  8. How can I receive the map(s) that I ordered through the HMGS portal?
    You can receive the maps with the following ways:
    • Coming in person to the HMGS Sales department, 4, Evelpidon Str., 11362 Athens, Greece, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 08.00 to 12.30
    • Through the postal service (Note: delivery delay should be expected due to product delivery through the military and the national postal service and HMGS does not bear any responsibility to the delivery status of the geographical product)
    • Through courier service sent by the client

  9. How many days are required for the receipt of analogue maps and aerial photographs from the day of order?
    The receipt of aerial photographs takes place within approx. 5 days from the date of order.
    The receipt of analogue maps in various ranges takes place at the HMGS Sales Department on the same day, with the following exceptions:
    • Topographic diagrams 1:5.000 when the order volume is over 10 diagrams
    • Classified maps of range 1:50.000
    • Classified Topographic diagrams 1:5.000 when the order volume is over 4 diagrams

  10. Is it possible the order and receipt of maps internationally? If yes, please refer the relevant countries.
    The geographical maps produced and managed by HMGS can be order and sent internationally, in all countries abroad. The delivery costs should be paid by the client. Μoney deposit is required at a bank account in GENIKI Bank (Syntagma) provided to the client by HMGS through email.
